Short Take: DoughNet lays off workers

Teen financial services site DoughNet has laid off an undisclosed number of workers, the company said. The layoffs are the second for the company in the last six months. DoughNet chief executive Ginger Thomson declined to specify the number of people laid off but said the cutbacks were to help the two-year-old company conserve cash in an "unfriendly capital market."
