Digital's 7310 model, which begins with a 600-MHz Alpha chip, a 4GB hard drive, and 128MB of memory, will sell for $24,999 this quarter. The company cut prices by as much as 27 percent on other models. A 7305 system with a 533-MHz Alpha chip and a 4GB hard drive, for example, falls to $55,358 from $74,955.
