Short Take: Counties defend their say in cable Net access

The National Association of Counties approved a policy resolution today supporting counties' rights to weigh in on the debate over opening high-speed cable TV lines to outside Internet service providers. Last week, Florida's Broward County voted to open that area's cable lines to ISPs, but companies like AT&T and MediaOne say the county does not have the legal jurisdiction to do so.
