Copper Mountain Networks said seven chipmakers will use its technology in processors for voice-over-DSL (digital subscriber line) devices. The companies that have partnered with Copper Mountain are Brecis Communications, Centillium Communications, Conexant Systems, GlobeSpan, Ishoni Networks, Metalink and Virata. Copper Mountain executives said the partnerships will ensure compatibility between voice-over-DSL devices.
