Hewlett-Packard expects sales to pick up 50 percent this year and 35 percent in 1997. Acer sees business growing 45 percent this year and 18 percent next year. Compaq expects sales to rise 30 percent in 1997, and IBM 12 percent, as reported by Reuters.
