The California Senate is making sure that Netizens can examine campaign contributions for state political candidates. The Senate has amended a bill that calls for contributions to be recorded electronically to account for the Internet. If passed, the bill would require that candidates for state offices post all contribution statements on the Net. The bill would take effect July 1, 2000.
