Short Take: AOL blocks FlexNet email to its members

FlexNet, a Houston-area Internet service provider, is in an uproar because its subscribers can't send email to America Online. FlexNet said its domain name is being blocked by AOL because an AOL subscriber bounced spam to AOL members off FlexNet's servers. FlexNet officials said they were cut off without notice. AOL officials could not be reached for comment, but the company's policy is to inform a service provider before blocking its domain name.
