Short Take: Agillion launches Web-based business service

Agillion, a Web-based business application startup company, launched trials of its first small- and medium-sized business service offering today. The online service, a shared database of business contacts intended for internal company use and for creating "extranets" with business partners, will be available commercially in January. Agillion, led by co-founders Steve Papermaster and Frank Moss, formerly of IBM subsidiary Tivoli Systems, expects to offer integrated email and the ability to synchronize contacts later this month.
