Backyard grillers, to a certain degree, enjoy showing off. That's not to say there isn't a fair amount of one-upmanship going on in the kitchen, but for whatever reason, the outdoors seems to enhance the friendly competitive spirit. Who has the best rub or who makes the tenderiest pork isn't the only thing up for debate when cooking outside. There is at least one more thing to consider, and that would be the grill itself.
The Bond GSF20JDS Pedestal Stainless Steel LP Gas Grill ($342) makes for a striking sight. Looking like its design cues were pulled from a '70s sci-fi flick, the bulbous grill certainly makes for an impressive display. Measuring just more than 4-feet tall with about a 2-foot base, the gas grill weighs almost 60 pounds. It has a domed lid with an integrated thermometer, along with a push and turn ignition control that is flanked by tool hooks. Bond made this fantastic looking grill with convenience in mind.
With 280-square-inches of cooking space, the 15,00Btu grill isn't all good looks and smooth, shiny surfaces; however, when they are gathered around the grill, family and friends will definitely appreciate its style. This might be a good thing, because depending on how proficient you are with outdoor cooking, a good-looking grill might be just the perfect thing to draw the attention away from what's going on in the grill.
