Robot Transformer feels the groove

Why would you manually transform a Transformers toy when you can get a robot that doesn't just transform, but dances?

Why would you manually transform a Transformers toy when you can get a robot that doesn't just transform, but dances?

The Tokyo Maker Faire is coming up on the weekend, and we're willing to bet that there will be a few robots on display — but they'll have their work cut out for them after seeing Brave Robotics' Transform Robot 7.2.

Built on a 1/12 scale, the little bot won't be able to drive you around, but it does transform smoothly from robot to RC car (controlled via a modded PlayStation controller), and back again. It can also shoot projectiles, do a little boogie, and — via a Wi-Fi camera built into the front — allows you to follow a live stream of what the little bot sees on your iPad.

The Transform Robot will be on display at the Tokyo Maker Faire on Sunday, 2 November in Japan.

Hat tip to Simon for the story!
