Roaming moans and iMessage mess in Podcast 358

It's the end of pesky roaming charges -- unless the government has anything to do with it...

Technology: making our lives better for as long as we can remember -- except when it doesn't work. In just a few days Apple messed up iMessage, GTA Online kept many gamers offline, and the British government is trying to block plans to ditch roaming charges.

The government wants to put the kibosh on proposed EU rules that will encourage networks across the continent to drop roaming charges and work together more.

And it's not been Apple's best week: not long after the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S went on sale, not only is iMessage causing problems but rivals have branded the 5S' 64-bit processor "a gimmick" with "zero benefit" for customers.
