Quote of the day: DOJ not looking for personal information

After high-ranking Senate Democrat Patrick Leahy sent a two-page letter demanding to know specifics about the Department of Justice's request for data from several major search engines, the DOJ says there is nothing for privacy advocates to worry about.

Justice Department spokesman Charles Miller responded, "We weren't seeking information about the individuals, we were only seeking the search terms...We don't even want to know the names of the people." Read more about the senator's request here.
