Consumer electronics giant Philips on Friday introduced new digital appliances, including liquid-crystal display TVs and an Internet radio. The new TV sets include two LCD TVs in 15-inch and 20-inch models. The 15-inch LCD also enables people to turn the screen into a computer monitor. The LCD TVs will be available in the first quarter of 2002.
Philips also released on Friday its FW-i1000 Internet radio. It combines AM, FM and iM Networks' iM Tuning service, which enables people to listen to radio stations from across the world by plugging into a broadband connection. The radio costs $499.
