Philips to frame Kodak Picture CD

Dutch electronics giant Philips announced Friday that it will manufacture a number of consumer-electronics devices that will display images stored on Kodak's Picture CD. The first Philips products are expected in 2002 and will include DVD players and portable audio CD players. Philips will demonstrate such products at the IFA 2001 trade show in Berlin on Saturday. Formal product announcements from Philips are expected in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
