Net porn filter logs activity

Solid Oak Software's CYBERsitter Lite content filter will be included in WorldWide Online's Internet access service. A free, ten-day trial version of the software is available at the Solid Oak Web site.

Solid Oak Software, a Santa Barbara, California, software developer, announced an agreement with Canadian Internet access provider WorldWide Online to include Solid Oak's CYBERsitter content filter as a part of the WorldWide service.

CYBERsitter allows parents to block access to adult-themed and other objectionable material transmitted over the Internet. The software includes a "bad sites" list, which includes Web sites, chat lines, and newsgroups that focus on sexual issues, illegal activities, bigotry, racism, drugs, or pornography.

The software is capable of maintaining a complete history of all activity, including attempts to access blocked material.

CYBERsitter is available in Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups formats and is priced for single users at $39.95. It can be purchased directly from Solid Oak Software or at retail software outlets.

You can download a free, ten-day trial version of CYBERsitter via the Solid Oak Web site.
