Net Access Agreement Planned

AT&T Network Systems and Northern Telecom have announced that they are in the closing stages of signing an agreement with Nynex to provide consumers high-speed access to the Internet.

    AT&T Network Systems and Northern Telecom are close to signing a multimillion-dollar agreement with Nynex that will give customers high-speed access to the Net.

    The plan calls for AT&T Network Systems and Northern Telecom to provide integrated services digital network (ISDN) hardware and software equipment and Nynex to deploy 1 million phone lines over the next five years.

    A toll-free number will be provided for customers to find availability and pricing information, according to Nynex officials.
