Nerve.com special airs on HBO

Online sex magazine Nerve.com is premiering a new show on cable channel HBO this Saturday, the latest cross-pollination of the Internet and broadcasting. The show, called "Nerve.com: Downloading Sex," is a 44-minute video magazine that features a collection of projects borne from the 5-year-old Web site, according to the HBO Web site. Airing five times on HBO, the special will feature interviews with a man who invented a solar-powered sex machine and a woman who keeps a digital diary of her sex life, among other vignettes. HBO, which airs the popular series "Sex in the City," has experimented with broadcasting other Internet originals. The cable channel airs the half-hour show "Project Greenlight," an online amateur screenplay-writing contest started by Hollywood superstars Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
