Mozilla releases patched browser

Mozilla has released a new version of its open-source Web browser after pulling downloads of the software last week. The updated Mozilla 1.2.1 browser, released Monday, includes a patch for a software bug that crippled dynamic HTML coding on some sites. The bug was discovered shortly after Mozilla released version 1.2 on Nov. 26.

Mozilla is an open-source Web browser supported by AOL Time Warner subsidiary Netscape Communications. Mozilla 1.2 was released with a number of new features such as improved support for the Java programming language with Mac OS 10.2.
