Microsoft offers fix for Outlook Web in Vista

The software maker said said it has issued a patch to allow Outlook Web Access to properly run in Windows Vista.

Microsoft said Thursday that it has issued a patch that should allow Outlook Web Access to properly run in Windows Vista. As part of its overhaul of Internet Explorer, Microsoft had removed an editing control that was used by OWA, among other applications.

The patch has to be applied to the Exchange Server, not to the desktop, so individuals won't be able to solve the problem on their own. "If you run into this problem, we highly recommend that you contact your Exchange 2000/2003 administrator to make sure they have installed this update," Microsoft said.
