Match.com to play the field

Match.com plans to relaunch its popular dating site on Tuesday, with the aim of expanding its reach beyond its traditional marriage-minded audience. The company said it hopes to sign up customers looking for casual dates or activity partners, not just mates.

Starting Tuesday, the site will add features such as e-mail history, which will allow active daters to track multiple e-mail strings; a tool to send match results to a friend, which lets people browse on behalf of their single friends; and a longer list of more open-ended profile questions, including ones about turn-ons and turn-offs.
