Fortune magazine has just anointed Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg as Business Person of the Year for 2016. The media outlet cites numerous criteria for honoring Zuckerberg, whose social network is used by nearly 1.8 billion people around the world, including the company's performance year over year as well as his vision for growth and the ability to achieve it.
Coming in second was Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, recognized for dominating e-commerce and for breaking new ground by developing products such as the, which has pushed the envelope of human-to-computer interaction.
Other tech luminaries in the top 10 include Alphabet's Larry Page, Microsoft's Satya Nadella and Nvidia's Jen-Hsun Huang. Apple CEO Tim Cook was No. 11.
