Your pumpkin can double as a beer keg -- here's how

Who needs a jack-o'-lantern when your pumpkin can serve up frothy beer?

You can carve a pumpkin into a cyborg or into a playable Tetris game. But if you really want to get into the spirit of autumn, you can transform a pumpkin into a handy beer keg.

All you need is a large pumpkin, a carving knife, a pumpkin carving kit, a Sharpie marker, a spigot, and of course, your favorite beer.

This video suggests using your favorite pumpkin ale or Oktoberfest-style beer. Brown ale or an amber ale will also work.

Cut off the top and clean out the inside of the pumpkin just like you would before carving a jack-o'-lantern. Carve a small whole at the front of the pumpkin and pop in the spigot.

Pour six to 12 bottles of beer into the pumpkin. Put the top back on to let the beer foam settle. Grab a glass, pour and enjoy.
