'Mad Shelia' is China's amazing take on 'Mad Max: Fury Road'

It seems at least a few people in China were really impressed by George Miller's "Fury Road."

2015's "Mad Max: Fury Road" is a modern classic. It's left many clamouring for a follow up, which according to some reports will actually be a prequel starring Charlize Theron.

If you can't wait that long to get your post-apocalyptic wasteland kicks, perhaps you might be interested in a brand new Chinese film, "Mad Shelia."

"Mad Shelia" follows, well, a Shelia (a misspelling of the Australian slang "sheila" for a woman) surviving in the harsh wastelands of... somewhere. Doomsville, maybe? In her quest, Shelia is plagued by baddies dressed up in what looks to be budget Mad Max cosplay.

From the dates on the poster, it looks as though the flick is scheduled for release in China on Friday.

You can see the trailer in all of its glory -- and there is a lot of glory -- below.
