It looks like LG's Optimus G is about to get a stablemate. The LG Optimus G Pro has leaked in the Far East, and is heading for Japan's NTT DoCoMo network.
The G Pro looks better than the original G in pretty much every way, with a 5-inch display that packs a Full HD 1080p resolution, Engadget reports. That's up from its predecessor's 4.7-incher, which had 768x1,280 pixels. So bigger and sharper is the order of the day.
It'll join awith this display size and resolution, proving that a 5-inch 1080p screen is the in thing in mobile this season.
Inside is a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of memory, LTE for Android Jelly Bean, which is a real boon, seeing as its predecessor ran on -- very much yesterday's news.data speeds, and a 3,000mAh battery. It's also said to come with
On the imaging front, it's got a 13-megapixel camera, and a 2.4-megapixel front-facer. It'll weigh 160g, with dimensions of 139 by 70 by 10.1mm -- hardly the thinnest phone ever, but no porker.
Will we ever see it hit UK shores? Let's hope so. The original Optimus G was announced back in September, and was closely followed by the Nexus 4, which has very similar specs. So hopefully us Brits won't have long to wait before we have another LG toy to play with.
The original Optimus G impressed us in our hands-on review, but we were let down by the old version of Android. If LG can correct that with the G Pro, and keep the price down, maybe we'll forgive it thethat have had us tearing our hair out of late.
What do you think of the Optimus G Pro? Are you still pining for the Nexus 4, or has LG's latest helped you get over it? Let me know in the comments, or on our Facebook page.
