Lexar Media introduced CompactFlash cards on Thursday that are 50 percent faster than its previous versions. Data can be written to the cards at a rate of 1.8MB per second. The company expects that one of the key markets for the cards will be digital cameras, where high photo resolutions can create long waiting periods for storing images. The new CompactFlash cards come in capacities of 64MB, 128MB, 192MB and 256MB. Prices will range from $50 to $240.
