Director/writer Joss Whedon is back on Twitter with an important get-out-the-vote campaign wrapped in a video that satirizes traditional campaign commercials and features nearly all of his Avengers, James Franco, Keegan-Michael Key, Stanley Tucci and more.
Whedon and friends make no attempt to hide their disdain for the Republican presidential candidate. The video calls Trump a "racist, abusive coward who could permanently damage the fabric of our society," and the director has donated $1 million to the Clinton campaign, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"It's about getting people to vote, because it's frightening, the apathy that people are treating the most crucial election of their lifetimes with," Whedon told The Hollywood Reporter.
The director reportedly shelved his next movie script in order to give his full attention to the Save the Day super PAC. The team behind the video reportedly plans to release between 15 and 25 videos before election day on November 8.
