J.K. Rowling ribs president with 'third Trumperson' tweets

US President Donald Trump's signature tweeting style caught the eye of the Harry Potter author.

J.K. Rowling, the unofficial queen of Twitter takedowns, is at it again.

Less than 24 hours after her annual apology for killing off a loved Harry Potter character, the author took to the Twitter on Wednesday morning to poke fun at President Donald Trump's tendency to talk about himself in the third person.

"I wonder whether Trump talks to Trumpself in the third Trumperson when Trump's alone," said Rowling, while retweeting a post in which Trump suggests that maybe Trump won the election because Trump ran a great campaign. She later joked the president had "a Trumpersonality disorder."

Trump is a prolific tweeter and draws plenty of attention, both positive and negative. Hallmarks of his freewheeling Twitter style include liberal use of exclamation points, multi-part rants and as, Rowling pointed out, the third person.

The White House didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

The teasing is far more low-key than Rowling's previous criticism of Trump. The author has in the past said it was "horrible" to compare Trump to Potter villain Voldemort. "Voldemort was nowhere near as bad," she said. Burn.
