IXYS Corp. (Nasdaq: SYXI) surged more than 19 percent Friday after the company reported a fourth quarter and fiscal year profit.
Shares in the company, which makes high performance power semiconductor devices, were up 4 5/8 to 28 3/4.
For the fiscal year ended March 31, IXYS reported revenue of $76.6 million, up 15.2 percent from a year ago.
Net income was $6.9 million, or 56 cents per share on a diluted basis. This compares to revenue of $66.5 million and net loss of $5.2 million, or a loss of 56 cents a share, in the prior year.
For the fourth quarter ending March 31, IXYS reported revenue of $22.5 million and net income of $2.4 million, or 19 cents a share, on a diluted basis. This compares to revenue of $16.9 million and net loss of $6 million, or 64 cents a share, in the prior year quarter. There was no consensus estimate.
The revenue of $22.5 million in the fourth fiscal quarter ending March 31, was 33.3 percent higher than a year ago.
