It's a 'Full House' of mayhem in this Grand Theft Auto remake

Whatever happened to predictability? The opening sequence to beloved 1980s-era sitcom "Full House" gets remade in the dark, blood-filled world of Grand Theft Auto V.

Families come in all shapes and sizes. There isn't a more poignant reminder of that than a new video from YouTube filmmaker Merfish that's basically a shot-for-shot remake of the opening sequence for "Full House" using characters from Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto V.

In the clip, several of the main characters from Grand Theft Auto V assume the roles of Danny Tanner, Uncle Jesse and the rest of the "Full House" gang and partake in the familiar sights and scenes from the show's iconic opening sequence. Of course, this is Grand Theft Auto, so there are also bullets flying, pedestrians getting hit by the trolley and people catching on fire. Still, the result is a highly entertaining experience for fans of both popular franchises.

Oh, and it's incredibly funny (and also more than a bit creepy) to have a middle-aged, balding guy playing the youngest member of the Tanner crew.

Check out the video in its entirety above, and if you want to get a real sense of how incredible a job Merfish did with the shot-for-shot remake, be sure to watch the side-by-side comparison here.
