Intel and talent agency Creative Artists Agency have announced plans to construct a multimedia lab to develop programming for the Internet and other markets.

Company officials say the joint effort is intended to accelerate the development of new entertainment media. The lab will feature state-of-the-art PCs, multimedia tools, and consumer applications where writers, directors, and actors under contract to CAA can familiarize themselves with the new technology.

The facility will also be available to assist start-up media companies that are developing online applications, company officials say. The new facility is set to open in six months.
