Industry Standard writers revive digest

Writers for the now defunct Industry Standard magazine have reunited to create a media digest based on the Standard's "Media Grok" column. Dubbed "Media Unspun," the newsletter will summarize the news and give brief descriptions of reports from different news outlets. The group, independent of Standard publisher IDG, plans to start charging a $50 annual subscription fee March 11, with an introductory rate of $39.95. In what he termed "a cheap PR stunt," Media Unspun editor Jimmy Guterman has pledged to clean the homes or offices of two of the first 50 paying subscribers.
