HTC teaser hints at One Max - and is that Robert Downey Jr?

HTC is promising 'Big Things Ahead', in a new teaser video that hints Robert Downey Jr might be the one to unveil the One Max to the world.

Not bad! HTC is promising 'Big Things Ahead', in a new teaser video that hints the rumours about the HTC One Max could well be true -- and that Robert Downey Jr might be the one to unveil the giganto-blower to the world.

The video features a military-looking helicopter landing in a car park. A suspiciously chic tousle-haired exec clambers out and high-fives a chap who's just pocketed an HTC One -- and who my sharp-eyed colleague Rich Trenholm points out is Coen brothers regular Jon Polito. So what's in the briefcase, Mr Stark?

Entitled 'Big Things Ahead', it seems HTC has a launch coming up -- although it hasn't yet sent out invites -- and if the rumour mill is anywhere near the mark, it's going to be the HTC One Max.

A much bigger version of the popular One, the Max is said to boast a whopping great 5.9-inch Full HD screen and a new, more powerful, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor. It was snapped in leaked photos just yesterday.

HTC signed up Robert Downey Jr earlier this year for a reported $12m, but we're yet to see ol' Iron Britches in an ad for the Taiwanese mobile maker. Its big rival Samsung made a huge splash recently by exclusively giving away the new album by Jay Z (the artist formerly known as Jay-Z), as the first instalment in a rumoured $20m endorsement.

HTC also seems to be trying out new slogans based on its corporate abbreviation. 'Here's To Change' says the video embedded above, while a shorter version of the ad posted on Vine reckons HTC stands for 'Happy Telephone Company'. I really like that, but maybe not as much as what it actually stands for: High Tech Computer, which is amazingly retro.

What do you think HTC should stand for? Do you think Iron Man would rock a massive HTC One? Go wild in the comments, or on our Facebook page.

Update: Added reference to Jon Polito. Thanks Rich!
