Grocer installing Net kiosks in stores

Grocery chain Stop & Shop is planning to place kiosks in stores that customers can use to order "hard-to-find" items at Web supermarket Netgrocer, the companies said Friday. The partnership is part of the companies' "Endless Aisle" service that will launch later this month. Stop & Shop Chief Executive Marc Smith said the deal with Netgrocer, which mails non-perishable groceries to customers, is intended to help supplement the grocer's store products. Stop & Shop operates grocery stores in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey.
