Google will soon rebrand two of its biggest Web properties, Blogger and Picasa, according to a report from Mashable.
The rebranding is expected to take place within four to six weeks. The move seems to be an attempt by Google to unify its brands as it launches, its new social network. Mashable reckons Google+ will go public before the end of July.
Mashable's sources say YouTube, which is owned by Google, won't be affected. We'd imagine that's because the name is so iconic -- the big G won't want to risk the site's popularity by meddling with the branding. Google has already too.
Along with the introduction of Google+, Google's redesigned almost all of its services recently, bringing so much frightening change to the Internet that we're inclined to crawl inside our big CNET UK box and have a good cry.
What do you reckon to Google ringing the changes in this fashion? Does the sheer amount of power the search god holds over us fill your heart with fear? Let us know in the comments section below or on our Facebook page.
