Get a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab 3G for $285

That's pretty sweet considering that the Wi-Fi-only version sells for $350. And although it's a refurb, it will almost certainly sell out fast.

Here's your chance to get a 3G-capable Android tablet without a contract--for less than the price of the Wi-Fi-only model.
Here's your chance to get a 3G-capable Android tablet without a contract--for less than the price of the Wi-Fi-only model. Yugster

Good news, early birds: Today only, deal-of-the-day site Yugster has the refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab 3G 7-inch Android tablet for $284.97, plus $10 for shipping. That's after applying coupon code YUGSAVE5/25 at checkout.

Bad news, late risers: this will almost certainly sell out, as it's considerably less than what you'd pay for a new unit, and it's offered without a contract.

Indeed, although a new Galaxy Tab 3G is available with contract for $199.99, it costs $429.99 without one. And the non-3G Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi sells new for $349. Here you have the option of paying for 3G (from Sprint) if you want it or sticking with Wi-Fi if you don't.

In case you're not familiar with it, the Galaxy Tab is a 7-inch tablet powered by Android 2.2. Here's CNET's review of the 3G version; here's my review of the Wi-Fi model.

All me to recap the latter. The Tab is without question one of my favorite tablets ever. I especially love the size, which is just right for reading news, e-books, and the like. My iPad seems extra heavy and unwieldy in comparison.

The only thing I don't like is its battery life: the Tab can barely go two days without needing to be recharged--even if I don't touch it. In fact, my disappointment over this led me to write this post: Android battery life: Terrible, or just plain bad?

Of course, as long as you stick close to an AC outlet, I'm guessing you'll love the Tab as much as I do. And at $285, it's a mighty hard deal to pass up. Do note, however, that Yugster backs it with a somewhat brief 60-day warranty.

Bonus deal: Speaking of refurbished goodies, Newegg has a JVC Everio GZ-HM320 1080p camcorder for $124.99 shipped. It's not a pocket 'corder, which is nice for those who like something they can really grip.
