If you, like so many other book-loving "Game of Thrones" fans, have been anxiously awaiting the sixth book in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" trilogy, you can now read at least a part of this hotly anticipated novel online.
Martin on Thursday released a chapter from the forthcoming book on his website, but before clicking on that link, be warned that the passage is chock full of spoilers. (And if you're just watching the show and don't follow the books at all, you might not want to read past this point.)
The passage takes place at the Vale, and tells of events from the perspective of Sansa Stark, who is going by the alias Alayne Stone. The chapter itself is called Alayne, and begins with Alayne reading a story to Robert Arryn, and gets much weirder and more complicated from there. You can read the whole thing for yourself here.
The chapter comes just days after Martin announced he would not be writing any episodes for "Game of Thrones" Season 6 so he could instead "The Winds of Winter." Here's hoping those efforts ensure that Martin will be able to release the book early on in 2016, since we've pretty much been told that .
