Gene splicing: Embryos with three parents?

Researchers are taking genes from multiple humans to create human embryos.

Well, not exactly, say scientists. Researchers have engineered an embryo with genetic material from two women and a man, with the intention of avoiding certain hereditary conditions in new humans.
