GeForce4 graphics boards at stores

Graphics chipmaker Nvidia said Monday that graphics boards based on its new GeForce4 graphics chip, introduced last month, are now available at retail stores such as CompUSA. Graphics board makers, including ABIT, Anextek, AOpen, AsusTEK, Chaintech and Creative Labs, have stocked shelves with products based on Nvidia's new high-end GeForce4 Ti 4600 and GeForce4 Ti 4400 chips as well as its GeForce4 MX 460, GeForce4 MX 440 and GeForce4 MX 420 chips, the company said. Graphics cards based on Nvidia's GeForce4 Ti 4200 chip are expected at the end of April. CompUSA listed a variety of GeForce4 cards using the different chips for prices ranging from about $130 to about $400 on its Web site, Monday.
