Gateway offers video greeting cards

To attract shoppers to its Country stores, Gateway is again offering holiday video greetings for free that customers can e-mail to friends and family on the spot. The greetings stations opened Friday at all 296 Country stores in the United States and will remain set up until Jan. 1. A Gateway employee will help customers record the video and voice message and then send it via e-mail to an unlimited number of recipients. The PC maker will also hold a drawing for everyone who sends a video greeting. The grand prize is a Gateway 700S computer loaded with the MGI Digital Imaging Bundle Suite, which includes VideoWave5 for DVD authoring, PhotoSuite 4-Platinum Edition, PhotoSuite Mobile Edition and PhotoVista Virtual Tour.
