We know just how popular "Game of Thrones" is, but does HBO share its spoils with the cast?

Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) are all set to earn $500,000 per episode for seasons 7 and 8 of the show in a report released on the cusp of season 6's finale, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The publication added that this figure represented a sizeable pay bump for the actors.

The "Thrones" cast are said to be among the highest paid cable actors and actresses, though they're not as well compensated as their major network kin. "Big Bang Theory" stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco each reportedly earn $1 million per episode, for instance. Sofia Vergara, meanwhile, netted $28.5 million last year, Forbes said, largely thanks to her role in "Modern Family".

With Sunday seeing the finale to season 6, the show has officially been renewed for a 7th season next year. Season 8 has yet to be made official, but is essentially a foregone conclusion in 2018.
