As usual, Apple has kept its developer conference announcements pretty well bottled up. That doesn't mean we haven't got a clue about what awaits us on June 2. Some prettyinclude iOS 8 and OS X 10.10.
The mobile operating system could receive new features like Healthbook for gathering health and fitness data, new CarPlay capabilities, and possibly even a solid Maps update. Last year, the OS X Mavericks upgrade made waves. It's anybody's guess what might be in store for 2014, though a new design look seems likely.
Beyond OS upgrades, rumors are floating about a possiblefor harnessing your computers to control lighting, thermostats, and connected appliances. A might also be on the menu. Though new, more powerful Intel chips aren't due until later in the year, there's an outside chance we could get a fresh Mac model to join existing line-up. It's about time for a new Mac Mini.
Some wild cards could come into play. There had been speculation that Apple would officially announce its acquisition of Beats during WWDC, but that cat is already out of the bag. It's still possible there could be some Beats flavor to the conference. It would certainly be a crowd-pleaser if Dr. Dre showed up.
It wouldn't be an Apple event without some wild speculation thrown in ahead of time. Items like an iWatch or an iPad/laptop hybrid would send sparks flying, but are long shots for announcement at WWDC.
