The new Foxtel Guide app for iPhone displays up to 14 days worth of programming across Foxtel's range of channels, plus the free-to-air broadcasters as well. Customers can browse the guide by time or can punch in the name of a show to find every instance of that program coming up in the next fortnight. Once you discover a show you like you can choose to record it or set a reminder for yourself. The one common Foxtel feature missing from the app is the ability to "series link" a show, advising the software to record a series of programs at the same time every day/week.

To access your Foxtel service remotely you must have first set-up a username and password on the Foxtel members website. This links account details to the unique smartcard number in your Fox-box at home. You then enter these details into the settings tab in the app.

The Foxtel Guide app is available now on the Apple App Store. Even if you're not a Foxtel member you can still use the guide to see which free-to-air TV programs are coming up over the next two weeks.
