Film plays with Gizmoz

Lions Gate Entertainment says it has partnered with Web start-up Gizmoz for an online motion picture promotion. Gizmoz, backed by former Apple Computer chief John Sculley, has developed a technology, also dubbed Gizmoz, that provides media companies with a way to beam their content online using animation, photos, streaming video, audio and text. Under the deal, Gizmoz will promote Lions Gate's latest Golden Globe-nominated motion picture, "Shadow of the Vampire," through Gizmoz's technology. The "Shadow of the Vampire" Gizmo is narrated by the film's producer, actor Nicolas Cage, and contains an episodic, Flash-animated comic strip of the film that will be updated weekly for people who collect the Gizmo. The animation can be obtained from Gizmoz's site or at Lions Gate's site.
