Get your wands and spell books ready, Harry Potter fans.

Apple announced on Thursday that enhanced editions of all seven of J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" books are now available exclusively on Apple's e-book store iBooks on OS X and iOS. The enhanced books feature interactive animations and intricate artwork to bring the wizarding world of Harry Potter to life in a new way.

Tim Cook is excited. "Harry Potter fans are going to love how their favorite stories come to life," Cook said in the company's press release. "J.K. Rowling's legendary series is perfect for enjoying on your iPad or iPhone and we're thrilled to offer them exclusively on the iBooks Store."

J.K. Rowling is pretty excited too. "I'm thrilled to see the Harry Potter books so beautifully realized on iBooks for the digital world; the artwork and animations in these enhanced editions bring the stories alive in a delightful new way," said J.K. Rowling in the release.

And, to be honest, all you Harry Potter fans out there should be pretty excited as well. After downloading a sample of the first chapter of a few of the books, I can say this this is easily the most fun way to read the "Harry Potter" heptalogy, as the illustrations and animations really make the books more magical.

The only sticking point? The books cost $9.99, £6.99 or AU$11.99 each, so you're looking at around $70 (about £50, AU$85) to own the entire series. That's arguably a small price to pay to see all sorts of spells and magical creatures come to life on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Mac OS X device, though it could be a bit steep if you've already bought other electronic editions of the "Harry Potter" series.

The enhanced edition of the "Harry Potter" heptalogy is available on Thursday in English in 32 countries including the US, UK and Australia. Preorders for the Spanish, French and German versions are also available starting Thursday, and they'll be available in a total of 50 countries on November 9.
