Everything I know about Las Vegas...

What I'd really like to see is someone getting beaten to death with an iPod speaker dock. If there are any products that at CES in excess, it's speaker docks, mobile phone cases and USB sticks

...I learned from watching CSI. It seems pretty accurate: the front page of this morning's Las Vegas Review Journal splashed a story about a millionaire property owner suspected of murdering his wife, her lover and (later) his new girlfriend. The main picture showed the investigating team unpacking their ground-penetrating radar in the car park where the bodies were allegedly buried. So far, so CSI -- although the fact that the victims disappeared almost 30 years ago suggests that the real-life clear-up rate doesn't quite match the fictional one.

I'm struggling to remember an episode in which 150,000 geeks descended on Las Vegas and queued politely for shuttle buses to CES, but I guess that one's still to come. The victim of the week could be strangled with an Ethernet cable (better make this episode soon, because wires are on the way out) or crushed beneath a gigantic flat-screen television (no rush here, the screens get bigger each year).

What I'd really like to see is someone getting beaten to death with an iPod speaker dock. If there are any products that are here in excess, it's speaker docks, mobile phone cases and USB sticks. Of that unholy trinity, the speaker dock seems the most feasible weapon, but I'm open to plot suggestions involving any of these items -- extra points if you can use all three.
