Entrepreneurs still doing the hard work

A News.com reader writes in to say that although the game might have changed for the VC world, entrepreneurs are still surviving.

In response to the October 10 Perspectives column by Bill Reichert, "Why the roaring '90s are dead and gone ":

I would agree that the game has fundamentally changed for venture capitalists, but not for entrepreneurs.

The game isn't fun when you look at it from the VC side of the spreadsheet. However, it still remains the same for the entrepreneur, who has to leverage his resources to build a successful company.

Building a company is not an easy task, but all entrepreneurs would agree it not only is fun, but fulfilling. Smart entrepreneurs and venture capitalists will survive; the others will not. That is the way it has always been.
