Elon Musk's 'boring' machine actually looks pretty interesting

What does the serial entrepreneur's tunnel-boring machine look like? Well, maybe like this.

Could this be the machine to take traffic relief underground?

It's the best case of tunnel vision.

Months after Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeted about building a tunnel-boring machine, we may have our first look at The Boring Company's efforts.

Business Insider noticed an Instagram post by @davesvanlife -- who shouts out SpaceX on his private account -- of what I can only describe as a long white tube with visible electrical parts, that bears The Boring Company logo on its side.

The original post is gone from Business Insider's post but was captured by The Verge.

Speculation is, this could be the earth-drilling machine Musk has been talking about to dig tunnels under traffic. (Musk even made hats.)

It appears Musk's tunneling venture is really happening, and that's not boring at all.

SpaceX didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
