EA exec joins Amazon board

Web retailer Amazon.com announced Friday that William "Bing" Gordon, executive vice president and chief creative officer of video-game maker Electronic Arts, has been elected to serve on its board of directors. Gordon co-founded Electronic Arts in 1982.

Gordon will join Jeff Bezos, Amazon's CEO; Tom Alberg, managing director of Madrona Venture Group; John Doerr, general partner at Kleiner Perkins Caulfied & Byers; Mark Hansen, CEO of Fleming Companies; Thomas Ryder, CEO of Reader's Digest Association; and Patricia Stonesifer, co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
