DVD "magazine" sets launch

SubstanceTV, a magazine that will come in the form of DVDs, has begun taking subscription orders. Mike Wilson, who started the influential game studio Gathering of Developers, is the founder. Subscribers will receive 10 DVDs per year with video features on topics such as independent record stores, social satirists and U.S. activism. The DVDs will also offer short films, music videos, and movie and game trailers. Subscriptions are $14.95 for the 10 issues planned for 2002 and the introductory issue set for release in November.
