In response to the January 9 Perspectives column by Michael Kanellos, "":
You sound like every other pundit and analyst who really does not know what they are talking about. If I had a dime for every person who said Apple didn't get it and would be out of business because they have such a small market share, I would be very rich. I guess you missed the fact that 60 percent of the computers being sold at the Apple retail stores are being sold to PC users.
So obviously, someone is getting it.
Apple has always been a leader in the newest technology, and there are actually business people out there using the systems. And enough with the 2.3 percent market-share nonsense. Do you know that the worldwide market share for Porsche is currently far less then 2.3 percent? But you don't hear people saying that Porsche doesn't get it, and they are going to be out of business.
Everyone wants to scream that Apple is dead, but a company that does $148 million in sales from only its retail stores (which everyone said would not work) is doing pretty well.
